Production Supervisor

Houston and South Texas

COMPANY

Our client is a newly formed merger between a privately held domestic E&P company and an international company focused in oil and gas exploration and production.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to Production Engineer.

SCOPE

As a result of this new joint venture, our client is seeking talented industry professionals to help them continue to exploit and develop its assets throughout South Texas and the Burgos Basin.  In order to maintain consistent production of their wells, the company has asked us to help them identify and recruit an individual who can supervise their production out in the field.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Specifically, the Production Supervisor’s responsibilities will include:

• Control and monitor producing wells and injectors;
• Operation of surface facilities, pumping stations, satellites, oil treatment plants and water treatment plants, etc.;
• Check daily pipelines and aqueducts;
• Coordinate third party contract work and supervise tasks to be performed by contractors’ equipment;
• Conduct gas and oil measurements;
• Monitor tasks and prepare, maintain and submit daily production reports.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.  The Production Supervisor will be an intelligent, energetic, dedicated and driven individual, with a track record of at least 10+ years experience.  The ideal candidate will have experience in the following: artificial lift (pumping units, gas lift, etc), gas compressors, production facilities, down-hole operations, completions, and drilling location preparation.  The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

The Production Supervisor must be an articulate, organized, disciplined individual with a reputation for integrity and sound business judgment.  This individual must have the character and professionalism that will establish immediate credibility with the company and industry personnel.  The successful candidate must also have well-developed social and interpersonal skills, comfortable with applying current technology, and be able to communicate well and deal persuasively with individuals at all levels, both within and outside the company.
